San Francisco artist Agelio Batle’s drawing sculptures are both a poetic metaphor and a functioning drawing tool. All of the surfaces of each sculpture can be used to write and draw. Committed to making art from materials that are part of our daily experiences, Batle originated his work by casting the sculptures from pencil lead and graphite, using a patented process that leaves no residue on the user’s hands.
